House of Familiars Cat Society 501(c)(3)

It’s not uncommon for someone to ask about the cat in the Wild Cat Worx name and logo—and there’s a meaningful story behind it. My spouse is the founder of House of Familiars Cat Society, a T-N-R-based non-profit dedicated to helping cats find the care and environment that's right for them.

At House of Familiars Cat Society, we believe there is no one-size-fits-all answer when it comes to helping cats. Some need a second chance at an indoor life. Some are happiest living in the community they know. Others need a safe place to call home outdoors.

Our nonprofit focuses on Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) as a humane and effective way to help community cats while reducing the cycle of unwanted litters. Through TNR, we provide cats with essential veterinary care and return them to their familiar environments whenever it is safe and appropriate to do so.

But sometimes, returning a cat simply isn't the right answer. When that happens, we do everything we reasonably can to find a better path. Friendly and social cats may be placed in loving adoptive homes, while cats who are not suited to indoor life may be matched with safe, responsible barn homes where they can receive shelter, food, and ongoing care.

We believe every cat is worth helping. Our goal is simple: meet each cat where they are and give them the safest, most appropriate future we can. We may not be able to save every cat in the way we wish we could - but we're sure going to try.
